We instill passion, pride, and confidence in children and young adults so that they recognize their future is limitless!

iSpeak Now's CEO, Yolanda Trotman, is a former District Court Judge who developed this idea from her time spent reading to kids. The  Secret Storyteller project  launched on September 28, 2018 at Lawrence Orr Elementay School with the help of Carolina Panther's wide receiver, Torrey Smith.  We are excited about his commitment to the school and the students!

Why It Matters

iSpeak Now works with kids and young adults in Title I Schools or schools with high minority populations. We understand that it is often assumed that children will learn communication skills on their own and  without any formal training which is not true.   Moreover, listening and speaking make up as much as 75% of adult communication  but only represent 25% of the Common Core Standards.   We understand that we have to do a better job of teaching the development of public speaking skills, and to better develop listening skills, questioning skills, and critical thinking skills.

Nzuri returns Fall 2021!
